Episode 42 - Robaire Nadeau: The importance of holding yourself and others accountable
Wednesday May 26, 2021
Wednesday May 26, 2021
Is accountability important? What does it mean to hold yourself and others accountable? Join us as Robaire Nadeau, my brother and I talk about what it means to be accountable.
About Robaire:
Robert (”Robaire”) Nadeau, J.D., did his undergrad in philosophy, and his postgraduate degree in law at the University of Ottawa. He was called to the Ontario Bar in April 1985 and to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2007. (He hastens to add that, lest there be any misunderstanding, his affiliation with the “bar” began several years before that); He is currently a Partner at the legal firm of Kerr & Nadeau, with offices in Ottawa and Halifax. His practice includes:o Reviewing, drafting & negotiating commercial contracts of all kinds (including employment agreements, commercial leases, technology transfers, licenses, franchises, etc.);o Employment (wrongful dismissal, human rights complaints, etc.);o Commercial Lease reviews, negotiations & disputes;o Negotiating & litigating business and contractual disputes. Among his claims to fame, Robaire was the lead negotiator representing the interests of the Information Technology Sector during the NAFTA negotiations (the trade deal President Trump didn’t like… and rightly so because we did kick their butts during the negotiations). Another claim to fame is that Robaire set a precedent at the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal in 2012 when his young female client was awarded the largest damages award granted by the Tribunal to that point in a Complaint of “sexual harassment” that did not involve physical contact.
When Robaire is not practicing law, he is either refining his skills as a mentalist; reading something or other in the history of philosophy or science; or Zooming and performing “magic tricks” with his daughter and two grandkids in Vancouver (Henrik 9 yrs., Vivienne 6 yrs.).
Something few people know about Robaire is that he performed his “State of Mind” mentalism act at “The Olive” in Las Vegas in 2012.

At the age of 4 due to negligence on the part of a daycare center, Kellina lost her hearing. In this episode, this young entrepreneur and emerging author speaks on what we can do to help make the deaf community more inclusive. Her energy is captivating and I enjoyed our chat, as I'm certain you will.
About Kellina:
Kellina is a young entrepreneur who loves to help people with their personal growth and educate others about the deaf community. Little do people know Kellina is actually a hard of hearing. She became deaf at the age of 4. She just graduated with a psychology degree and now into starting her own online coaching business and is working on finishing her book! You can find Kellina on Twitter, IG and her website listed below:
Twitter: cutiekellina
IG: Deafqueenboss
Website: www.deafqueenboss.club
What Kellina would like us to remember - from Kellina herself:
Please be respectful and mindful when you don’t know if the person has a disability. The best way to prevent any barriers is by saying am unaware of your disability how I can help? Not every disability is seen. Myself for example people would say wow no way your deaf. That is not a correct way to approach someone.
